Thanks for stopping by, my name is Vanessa, I am 29 and this is my blog. Although I am not new to the blogging world, this is my first venture into blogging as a hobby - one I started as I began a new chapter of my life. I thought I'd venture into blogging alongside it and document my journey along the way!

You will soon learn, that books are my life! I am an avid reader - I will have a go at reading just about anything, though I have my favourites, just like anyone else.  My chosen genres are fantasy, gothic literature, fairy tales and their adaptions including fan-fiction rewrites and my guilty pleasure is erotica! I also have a love of some well known teen fiction series' but tend to swing more to adult fiction these days!
Some of my favourites include Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld Series, Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners, Nalini Singh's Guildhunter Novels, Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver Series and Sylvia Day's Crossfire Series.
My long time favourite children's book is Alice in Wonderland, my favourite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast and my favourite fairy tale is Sleeping Beauty.  And that is just to pick a few; I genuinely could go on forever...

My biggest dream in life is to be a published fantasy fiction writer, and I have taken that dream into my own hands and have started self-publishing my novels under the pseudonym Angel McGregor. Check out my author website by clicking the image below and have a nosey at my books from there :)

I do have a life outside of the pages of my books... though I have to admit I do spend most of my spare time either reading or writing.  I took Stephen King literally... 

'If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others:
read a lot and write a lot.'

But my other personality traits include being a professional blonde, knowing that Mother Nature is the true boss and believing in magic and the unfathomable. I love a good adventure and am very outdoorsie (more so in the summer admittedly). I listen to music when I am doing things around the house, my favourites include Halestorm, Letters from the Fire, We are the Fallen, Nickelback and Evanescence. I am a self-professed ink addict and to contradict the lot; a complete Disney nerd!! Simba is my baby (Yes, 29 and I still sleep with a stuffed animal - he gives the best hugs!)

I have a loving and supportive family, that I have no qualms about admitting I'd be nowhere without, and I have a fiance who makes me feel like I can conquer the world! A lucky girl I am!!
